Apple launches a new app called Apple Heart Study. Apple Heart Study app will be using apple watch heart sensor to detect irregular heart rhythms and send notifications to users who suffering from Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial Fibrillation is a leading cause of strokes. Most of the people don’t experience any symptoms so, this app is beneficial to calculate irregular heart rhythm. This new technology measures heart rate through green LED lights flashing hundreds of times per second and the light sensitive photodiodes helps to detect the amount of blood flowing through the wrist. Early detection of irregular heart rhythms may prevent severe heart complications, strokes.

Apple CCO, Jeff Williams said “Working alongside the medical community, not only can we inform people of certain health conditions, we also hope to advance discoveries in heart science”. This Apple Heart Study app is 100% accurate.

The users who participated in the survey will get notification in their iPhone and watch and if irregular heart rate detects it will offer free consultation with a study doctor and also receive ECG patch to wear for additional monitoring.  Now this app is only available in the US App store to customers who are 22 years or older.
